About MageDemo

What is MageDemo?

MageDemo is a set of live Magento 2 demo storefronts built and maintained by Limely, a Magento and Hyvä agency based in the UK. The demos let merchants, developers, and agencies explore Magento frontends — specifically Hyvä and Luma — without any setup or installation.

Who runs MageDemo?

MageDemo is built and maintained by Limely Ltd, a Magento agency and certified Hyvä partner based in the UK. The demos are hosted on Hypernode, a managed hosting platform built for Magento.

Is MageDemo free to use?

Yes. The demos are completely free to browse. No account, login, or signup is required.

What demos are available?

MageDemo currently hosts live Hyvä and Luma storefronts. The Hyvä demo is publicly accessible at hyva.magedemo.com. The Luma demo is available at luma.magedemo.com. Guided demos of Hyvä Checkout and Hyvä Commerce are available via a booked call.

Using the demos

Can I test the checkout?

Yes. You can add products to the basket and proceed through the full checkout flow. The demo stops before any payment is processed — no real payment details are required at any point.

What Magento version do the demos run on?

The demos run on Magento 2.4.x, the current supported release line. The Hyvä demo runs the latest stable version of the Hyvä theme. The Luma demo uses the default Luma theme shipped with Magento.

How often are the demos reset?

Demo data — including cart contents and any account information entered — is reset periodically. The demos are intended for exploration, not for storing data.

Can I share the demo with a client?

Yes, absolutely. The demos are designed to be shareable. If you are an agency showing a client what Hyvä looks and performs like, the demo URL is the quickest way to do that.

Is the performance representative of a real Hyvä build?

Yes. The Hyvä demo runs on Hypernode, a production-grade managed hosting platform built for Magento. The performance scores reflect a real-world setup. Individual results will vary by server configuration, catalogue size, and custom code, but the demo gives a reliable baseline.

// for merchants

For merchants

I am a merchant considering Hyvä. Is this demo relevant to my store?

Yes. The demo shows how Hyvä performs and behaves on a live Magento environment. It will not reflect your specific catalogue, extensions, or customisations, but it gives you a reliable sense of the frontend experience and performance your customers would get.

Can I get a guided walkthrough rather than exploring myself?

Yes. Limely offers a structured, no-obligation demo call where a Hyvä specialist walks through the storefront in the context of your specific store and requirements. You can book a slot from the homepage.

How much does it cost to build a Hyvä store?

Hyvä is open source and free to use as of November 2025. Development costs depend on your store's complexity, catalogue size, and existing customisations. Contact Limely for a scoped estimate.

// for developers

For developers & agencies

I am a developer. Can I inspect the demo's source code or network requests?

Yes. The demos are public storefronts — you can inspect the DOM, network requests, JavaScript bundles, and Lighthouse scores freely in browser DevTools. That is part of the point.

Where can I find Hyvä's source code?

Hyvä went open source in November 2025. The source is available on GitHub at github.com/hyva-themes. Documentation is at docs.hyva.io.

Can I use these demos to pitch Hyvä to my own clients?

Yes. That is one of the core reasons MageDemo exists. Feel free to share the demo URLs with prospective clients, use them in presentations, or reference them in proposals.
